William L. Kyler

William L. “Butch” Kyler, Jr., age 75 of St. Marys and formerly of Morrisdale, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Penn Highlands Elk.

Born April 17, 1946 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late William L. Sr. and Mary L. (Harper) Kyler.

Surviving is his longtime companion, Jolene “Teddi” Mackcoviak, St. Marys.

Also surviving are his children, Jeffrey K. Kyler, Philipsburg; Jessica Erickson and husband Joshua, St. Marys; Krista Gerg and husband Evan, St. Marys; Stephanie King and husband Michael, Castle Rock, CO; five grandchildren; his sister, Judy Fetcho and husband Ronald, Morrisdale; and his beloved cat, Moo.

Butch was a 1965 graduate of West Branch Area High School and a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Vietnam Era. He was affiliated with the Methodist Faith, an avid Penn State Fan, a life member of the Morris Township Volunteer Fire Company, Station 17, Morrisdale, and a member oft the Central District Volunteer Firemen's

Association.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale and again on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Lay minister Fredrick Ferguson, Jr. officiating.

He will be laid to rest in Allport Cemetery, Allport. Military honors will be accorded at the graveside.
