Letter To the Editor
We have all seen the news: school shootings, random violence against strangers, carjackings, teen suicide, rampant drug abuse, harvesting and selling fetal body parts.
When I think back to 1973, I don’t remember any of these activities. It was in 1973 that abortion became legal in the US. In abortion, the nascent child is torn out of the uterus or poisoned or dismembered to kill it - pretty brutal! Over 60 million unborn US citizens have met this fate since 1973 - and their bodies did not have a choice. It makes me wonder – “Did broad acceptance of abortion in US culture, with its inherent indifference to human life, pave the way for the violence, death, and destruction so commonplace today?”
Just askin’.
