Elk County reports 16 new cases of COVID-19

Elk County reported 16 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, with its total number of cases increasing from 4,012 to 4,028.

Twelve of Elk County’s latest cases were confirmed cases and the remaining four were probable cases. Five confirmed cases and four probable cases were added to the St. Marys zip code of 15857, which has now reported 913 confirmed cases and 820 probable cases. One confirmed case was added to the Johnsonburg zip code of 15845, which has now reported 217 confirmed cases and 146 probable cases. One confirmed case was added to the Kersey zip code of 15846, which has now reported 189 confirmed cases and 192 probable cases. Two confirmed cases were added to the Byrnedale zip code of 15827, which has now reported 22 confirmed cases and 15 probable cases.

Of Elk County’s 4,028 total cases of COVID-19, 2,169 have been confirmed cases and 1,859 have been probable cases. The county has also reported 7,860 negative tests.

Cameron County reported one new case of COVID-19 on Friday, with its total number of cases increasing from 486 to 487.

Cameron County’s latest case was a confirmed case, and the county also reported one case that was previously in the probable category moved to the confirmed category. The Emporium zip code of 15834 reported an increase of one confirmed case and a decrease of one probable case. The zip code has now reported 293 confirmed cases and 138 probable cases.

Of Cameron County’s 487 total cases of COVID-19, 329 have been confirmed cases and 158 have been probable cases. The county has also reported 1,311 negative tests.

McKean County reported an increase of 24 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, with its total number of cases increasing from 4,997 to 5,021.

All 24 of McKean County’s latest cases were confirmed cases. Four confirmed cases were added to the Kane zip code of 16735, which has now reported 573 confirmed cases and 147 probable cases. Thirteen confirmed cases were added to the Bradford zip code of 16701, which has now reported 1,564 confirmed cases and 320 probable cases. Five confirmed cases were added to the Smethport zip code of 16749, which has now reported 475 confirmed cases and 74 probable cases. Two confirmed cases were added to the Port Allegany zip code of 16743, which has now reported 405 confirmed cases and 45 probable cases.

Of McKean County’s 5,021 total cases of COVID-19, 3,914 have been confirmed cases and 1,107 have been probable cases. The county has also reported 12,814 negative tests.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, there were 4,496 new cases of COVID-19 reported statewide on Friday. Pennsylvania has now reported 1,530,309 total cases of the virus since the beginning of the pandemic.
