Lady Dutch softball team fell to Punxsy in opener

The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch softball team fell to Punxsutawney by a score of 10-5 in their opener last week at Benzinger Park.

Four of St. Marys’ runs were scored in the second inning, and then the team added one more in the fifth.

Punxsutawney scored three runs in the first, two in the second, one in the third, one in the fourth, and three in the fifth to take home the win.
